The Yarbirds were often overlooked in favor of other bands from the heyday of British Invasion, but their legacy has loomed large decades after their demise. This was their first real studio album, originally released in 1966, and it explores broad palettes of style and hue from more traditional blues and neomedieval turns to strange psychedelia and amazing guitar fret work. All in all, an album that is as enjoyable as it is historically influential. (less)
