Hapless Homer Flagg learns from his physician, Dr. Harris, that he's dying from radiation poisoning. When a New York newspaper reporter hears of Homer's plight, she decides to do a series of articles on the unfortunate New Mexico man. Before she heads west, however, Harris informs Homer that the diagnosis is a mistake. But that doesn't stop them from accepting the reporter's offer for a swanky trip to Manhattan, where the two attempt to keep up the pretense. (less)
